1965 Sunbeam Tiger Mk1 - Factory Press Car

Finished in red with black leather interior, EDU 295C was used by the factory as a press roadtest car during 1965 featuring in the April edition of Motorsport magazine as well as the German publication, Auto Motor und Sport on 4th September.

The 260 ci Ford V8 has received some mild modifications culminating in a dyno proven 234bhp and 285lbs ft of torque. As far as can be determined, this is a matching numbers car with engine number on the chassis plate matching that of the Rootes Group tag on the rocker cover. The engine block has the casting number C4OE – 6015E which relates directly to a 260 engine of the correct period and the gearbox has its original tag still present and this also shows the correct number for a Tiger of this period.

Continually maintained and in very presentable order, EDU 295C is a good, honest example of the rare and appreciating classic performance car with interesting history.

Due to other committments the car has become seldom used covering barely 50 miles in 2011, hence it is now for sale.
